Alibaba has launched the AI programming tool Qoder, which features semantic search across codebases, architecture insights, persistent memory, and dynamic model routing. It supports natural language task delegation and one-click “wikification” of codebases. All features are fully free during the preview stage. Unlike traditional programming tools that merely help you “write code,” Qoder acts more like an experienced colleague — one who has read all your code, remembers all your habits, and can work across systems on your behalf.
