Adjustable Thinking Duration: ChatGPT Web Adds New GPT-5 Thinking Adjustment Feature

OpenAI has announced the launch of a new “Thinking” adjustment feature for ChatGPT Web, available to Plus, Pro, and Business users. This feature allows users to freely choose the thinking duration of the GPT-5 model. It includes Standard mode (default), Extended mode, Lightweight mode, and Intensive mode, each corresponding to different levels of reasoning depth and response speed. User settings will remain unchanged until manually modified.
