OpenAI Strikes Again! Reaches AI Chip Partnership with Broadcom

OpenAI and custom ASIC manufacturer Broadcom have announced a partnership to jointly develop a 10-gigawatt custom AI accelerator. Broadcom plans to begin deploying the related systems in the second half of 2026 and complete them by the end of 2029. Following this news, Broadcom’s intraday stock price surged over 10%.
