The European Union has released the final version of the Code of Conduct for General-Purpose Artificial Intelligence, which will take effect on August 2. The code covers three key areas: safety, transparency, and copyright. It was jointly developed by 13 experts and over 1,000 stakeholders. Companies can voluntarily sign the code to reduce compliance burdens. Existing AI models will have a two-year adjustment period, while newly developed models will have one year.
