Cohere is a platform that provides large language models, assisting developers and enterprises in building high-performance AI products. This platform mainly offers AI-driven services such as text search (multilingual embedding, neural search, search ranking), text classification, and text generation. It can help enterprises quickly deploy conversational AI chatbots, generative search engines, text summarization, enhanced vector retrieval, etc.
On 11 May 2023, Cohere received $250 million in financing. Currently, it is valued at approximately $2 billion. The investors include Salesforce, Nvidia, Index Ventures, etc. Aidan Gomez, the co-founder of this company, is one of the authors of the paper “Attention Is All You Need”, which proposed the Transformer architecture adopted by large language models such as GPT.
