Coolness is supposed to be exclusive, which is exactly the opposite of what fast.ai aims for. They want to make deep learning as accessible as possible – including for those using less “cool” languages like C#, less “cool” operating systems like Windows (which is used by the majority of people in the world), less “cool” datasets (much smaller than anything Google has and in fields that you might consider obscure), and for people with less “cool” backgrounds (even if you didn’t attend a top-tier university like Stanford).
