Stable Diffusion

Stable Diffusion is an AI text-to-image generation model based on deep learning that was released in 2022. This model is mainly used to generate detailed images and illustrations conditioned by text descriptions, and it was developed through the cooperation of the startup company StabilityAI with some academic researchers and non-profit organizations.

Stable Diffusion is a latent diffusion model (Latent Diffusion Model) —— a type of deep generative neural network. The code and model weights of Stable Diffusion have been publicly released and can run on most computer hardware equipped with a moderate GPU, while proprietary text-to-image models (such as DALL-E and Midjourney) before this could only be accessed through cloud computing services.
