Atlassian Acquires The Browser Company in an All-Cash Deal Worth $610 Million
The world’s first AI browser company, The Browser Company, has been acquired by software company Atlassian in an all-cash deal worth $610 million. The company had previously developed the Arc browser before shifting its focus to building an AI-native browser, Dia. Dia is designed to combine browsing with conversation, enabling features such as moving data across tabs and summarizing documents. Following the acquisition, Dia will continue to operate independently, while Atlassian plans to develop it into a “knowledge-work browser for the AI era.”
