AI Chip Dark Horse Groq Raises $750 Million, Valuation Soars to $6.9 Billion
U.S. AI chip startup Groq has raised $750 million in its latest funding round, reaching a valuation of $6.9 billion. The round was led by Disruptive, with participation from BlackRock, Neuberger Berman, DTCP, and others, while existing investors such as Samsung and Cisco also joined in. Groq plans to use the funding to expand its data center capacity, including new sites this year and next, and aims to announce its first Asia-Pacific location later this year.
