OpenAI has launched GPT-5-Codex-Mini, an “economical and efficient” version of GPT-5-Codex. Developers can get roughly four times more usage quota. On the SWE-bench Verified benchmark, GPT-5-Codex-Mini scores 71.3%. This version is designed for lightweight engineering tasks or scenarios where users are approaching rate limits.
