According to the latest data from the AI analysis platform aitools.xyz, DeepSeek, a Chinese artificial intelligence startup, has surpassed OpenAI’s ChatGPT in terms of global monthly new website visits, becoming the fastest-growing AI tool globally at present.

The report indicates that DeepSeek achieved 524.7 million new visits in February 2025, surpassing ChatGPT’s 500 million during the same period.

Although DeepSeek has witnessed rapid growth, its overall scale still ranks third, only after ChatGPT and Canva. However, data from aitools.xyz shows that DeepSeek’s market share increased rapidly from 2.34% to 6.58% in February, reflecting a significant increase in global recognition of it. In that month, DeepSeek’s chatbots received a total of 792.6 million visits, of which the number of unique users reached 136.5 million.

In addition, the report also points out that India ranks fourth among DeepSeek’s global traffic sources, contributing 43.36 million visits per month. In February, the total number of visits to AI industry websites reached 12.05 billion, of which 3.06 billion were unique visitors.

According to the tracking data from aitools.xyz, this platform covers more than 10,500 AI tools, which are subdivided into 171 different categories. The data shows that DeepSeek holds a 12.12% market share in the chatbot market, second only to ChatGPT and ranking second.
