OpenAI Launches New Programming Tool – Codex

OpenAI has launched a new AI programming tool called Codex, aiming to enhance the efficiency of software development. Codex is based on the codex – 1 model and is a cloud – based software engineering agent that has been specially optimized for coding tasks. This tool can perform a variety of functions, including writing code, fixing bugs, answering code – related questions, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

In a live demonstration, researchers showed how Codex could analyze a codebase and provide improvement suggestions. Currently, this tool is in the research preview stage. Pro members and enterprise users can start using it first, while ordinary users will have to wait.

OpenAI has also released a streamlined version of Codex for developers to use.
