Google’s AI coding assistant Jules launches in global public beta, challenging GitHub Copilot and OpenAI’s Codex
Google Labs has launched Jules, an experimental AI coding assistant that can automatically generate code based on task descriptions. Jules breaks down complex tasks into multiple steps and progressively works toward a solution. It can understand and navigate codebases, automatically run unit tests to ensure the correctness of code updates, and adapt its approach based on developer feedback.
