Musk releases Grok 4, capable of handling academic tasks at a PhD level

Elon Musk’s xAI has unveiled its next-generation large language model, Grok 4, which demonstrates a 10x improvement in reasoning capabilities compared to its predecessor. Outperforming existing models across multiple benchmark tests, Grok 4 has reached a “postdoctoral level” of performance. The model supports tool invocation, voice interaction, and multimodal tasks, while also setting new records in high-difficulty tests such as ARC-AGI.
