Perplexity launches AI browser Comet

Perplexity has released its AI browser, Comet, which is now available on the Mac platform for Perplexity Max subscribers. Built on the open-source Chromium engine, Comet is compatible with Chrome extensions and supports seamless user data migration. Its standout feature is the built-in AI that can automatically perform tasks—such as directly interacting with social media and email platforms. Users can interact with the AI via a sidebar to quickly process information. While currently in beta, Comet has the potential to streamline information access and boost user productivity.
