Adobe Firefly

Adobe launched a creative generative AI model named Adobe Firefly on March 21st, similar to DALL-E or Midjourney, which can generate images with AI using only text prompts. Adobe stated that the model is trained only on content that is licensed or not protected by copyright, rather than works from Internet artists.

On its official Twitter, Adobe claims that its mission is to better help various creative people change the way they imagine, create and work. Thus, Adobe Firefly was launched.

• Adobe Firefly is a brand-new series of generative AI models for creativity, offering new ways to conceptualize, create, and communicate while significantly improving creative workflows.
• As a creator itself, Adobe regards Adobe Firefly as a means to complement their creative processes through text-based image generation and editing.
• Although Adobe Firefly will ultimately consist of multiple models, its first model is trained on Adobe Stock, as well as publicly licensed and public domain content with expired copyrights.
• Adobe Firefly is currently available as a standalone beta version to gather user feedback. Based on subsequent feedback, Adobe plans to introduce Firefly into Adobe Express and AEM next, and roll out more creative applications.
