OpenAI Launches “Instant Checkout” Feature, Turning ChatGPT into an All-in-One Shopping and Payment Tool

OpenAI has announced the launch of its “Instant Checkout” feature, allowing users to shop directly within ChatGPT. Currently, ChatGPT users in the United States can complete purchases on Etsy and place orders through Shopify directly in the chat interface. The feature is now available to ChatGPT Pro and Plus subscribers, as well as logged-in free users. At this stage, it supports shopping from U.S.-based Etsy sellers, while more than one million Shopify merchants will be supported “soon.”
